Ira

Ira is a reborn who was made from the soul and body of a Fire Genasi, Soleil. After she was killed by her brother, and thrown into a frozen lake, the gods voted to give her a second chance. However, the person who came out of that lake was changed, not only her memories, but her appearance and magic. She was given the name Ira, a princess from a book. From there she set off to help regain her memories and her past life.

Ira's past life is Soleil. Soleil was raised with by mother, a Firbolg named Joralei, and her father, a Goliath named Verkahn who adopted her. She also had an adoptive brother, another Fire Genasi, named Dante. From a young age she was very procient magic user, becoming a Wild Magic Sorcerer. Her parents wanted to send her to a high prestige school, that had wanted to recruit her. Instead she joined her brother in making a group of misfortunates who needed a group to help them. They named this group the Pyre. This group picked up a few others, notable a Human Warlock named Nyla, a Dragonborn named Ixdor, and a tiefling named Zerreus.

Unbeknownst to Soleil, Dante was in contact with a god named Gormog, who gave him a Mark and seemingly warped his mind. His methods became harsher and he began going behind her back. Soleil confronted him about this, which eventually led to Dante instructing the Dragonborn to kill her, and with him they deposited her body in a frozen lake. The others were lied to about this, Zerreus was told that she had died and that they were going to hide it from Nyla to spare her feelings, since she was in love with Soleil. Nyla was told Soleil decided to leave.

After a while Ira was pulled out of the frozen lake after another person, a tiefling named Achezel, had fallen into the lake. Despite seemingly dead, she was alive. It was there that she met Achezel, a satyr named Roan, a Corvum named Rine, and an Orc named Zaagar Matall (who she affectionately named Ziggy). They decided to group up and help each other. They convinced Ziggy to come with them and help Ira discover who she was.

Soleil was Ira's past self. Ira held a lot of resentment but also grief surrounding Soleil. She wished she had been properly brought back instead of Ira being made, but she also felt like she had taken Soleil's second chance. Although, at first, Ira felt like she should discover her past and become Soleil again, as her adventures went on she found herself distancing herself from her past self, wanting to be Ira instead of Soleil. However, she also felt indebted to Soleil, like she had to tie up the loose ends she left behind. And so her goal switched from learning of her past self to avenging her past self. She started with killing Ixdor before moving onto trying to kill Dante. She did briefly meet Soleil in the Feyfell Winter Court, where she expressed her opposition to killing Dante. Soleil asked Ira if killing Dante was really what she was going to do. Was she going to hide the death like she did with Ixdor? What about Nyla, what about Zerreus. Ira got frustrated, doubling down on her convinctions. Dante was not her brother, just the monster that killed Soleil. She told Soleil she didn't care about what happened, about telling the others. She didn't know how long she had to live. She wasn't sure if she'd even stick around after he was dead. She just wanted to finish this and leave Soleil behind.

Dante was Soleil's brother. Ira only ever viewed Dante as Soleil's Killer. She never viewed him as her brother. The memories she had of him were not good ones, and they all featured Soleil, her past self. Even if it was not what Soleil would have wanted, Ira wanted revenge on him. Even after her encounter with Soleil in the Feyfell, she was determined to kill Dante. She felt that was the last thing she needed to do as Ira.

Achezel is the first person Ira laid her eyes on, causing her to bond to Achezel immediately. Although Ira now acts a little annoyed and unimpressed by Achezel, she still has that bond with her and views her as her closest friend. She feels like she could tell her everything, even though sometimes she forgets to confide in her, and appreciates when she tries to give her advice (it is not always good).

Ira is (probably, she thinks, maybe) in love with Ziggy. She views him as something completely separate from Soleil, something that is her's alone.

Ira cares a lot about Nyla, and may have even loved her, but couldn't fully commit because of Soleil. She knew she was not Soleil, and that is who Nyla cared for. She thinks, perhaps, if she did not view Soleil as a different person and instead as who she used to be and could be again, maybe it could have worked out. However, her feelings for Nyla are not the same as her feelings for Ziggy.

Ira cares about Zerreus, who she calls Zerries, and wishes things could have been different for him. She does feel bad about killing Ixdor because of him, but not because of Ixdor. Sometimes she thinks if she had made a different choice. Sometimes that action makes her feel that she is not any different than a revanant, since killing Ixdor was purely fueled by revenge for Soleil and not about justice.

Ira thinks Roan is funny, though he can be a bit too direct sometimes. She does feel at times he does not take things seriously, though that is apparently the way of a Paladin of the Ancients.

She thinks Miles is very nice. He is very determined and seems devoted to Roan.

She thought Rine was very smart, though she did not get very close to him.

Daena is pretty and a good person. Although, there is a bit of tension, probably only on Ira's side, since Ira has bad feelings about Fate. Even with how it ended with Thane and Shallvara, she can't help but harbor a distaste for Death and Fate.
