North Dia is the northern part of a large landmass called Dia. On the top northern point of North Dia is a cooler climate and hilly area. Below that is a vast tropical jungle, thought to be crafted by the Champion, Atrice.

Arkshire Kingdom

Main Religion: Divinism -- Recently many instances of Chuan as well

Arkshire was originally known for its entertainment scene and its many exports. The kingdom currently, however, is in disarray as two years ago the King’s three children, Zioldre, Zelise, and Zere, went missing and around a year ago the King, Roland Zephryine, who was known to be sickly already, fell terribly ill. With his wife having died some years prior there is an argument surrounding who the next King should be. Amongst this the King’s Jester, Safyre Soren, has stepped up and began taking action as a leader with power that the citizens didn’t realize he had.

Arkshire is typically on the chillier side and also gets a good bit of rain. It is a decently diverse place, though it is rare to see animalfolk, elves, and fey folk. Kith in Arkshire typically dress in warmer clothes, with thick wool from the sheep that they raise in the kingdom.

Arkshire - Capital City

Typical Races Found Here: Human, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dragonborn, Tieflings, Genasi

The Capital of Arkshire Kingdom, with the castle being in a highpoint in the back, visible from almost the entire city. Not as big as some other cities like Atri, Somnia, and KoM, but still a decent size.

With the recent troubles in Black Hollow, many have moved to Arkshire from there, causing there to be concerns with space. The Jester, who is currently acting like the monarch, has accepted many of these refugees, ignoring the protests of the upper class in Arkshire. This has increased tensions. Some believe that Safyre is trying to help while others blame him for the tragedies that have befallen the King and his family.

Though Arkshire does not produce many exports itself, the economy in the rest of its cities and towns is enough to fund the castle from the taxes they collect. Those funds have been tight recently, and many citizens have refused to pay taxes while their Kingdom is falling apart.

Farnworth - Town

Typical Races Found Here: Human, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dragonborn

Farnworth is a decently large town that was known for its farming as well as its port, which handled all of Arkshire’s imports and exports as well as tourist travel. This made Farnworth, while still just a town due to the small population, fairly wealthy.

Recently, however, Farnworth has taken in many of the struggling kith from Black Hollow and Biriholm that couldn’t get into the Capital City. Most of these kith have made agreements with farmers or dock workers to work in exchange for a place to stay and food to eat.

Black Hollow - Town

Typical Races Found Here: Human, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dragonborn, Tieflings

Black Hollow was a small town that was mainly filled with crafters who made many of the tools and weapons necessary for Arkshire. It is also where the vast majority of Arkshire’s lumber came from. The Arkshire Forest, once a brilliant and lush forest, was the source of the lumber.

Black Hollow, however, was abandoned after a series of unfortunate events befell the town. The ones who remain in the town are either stubborn, adventurers, or those not yet convinced of moving. One of the events caused the Arkshire Forest to die off in a radius around the town. That area is now called the Hollow Woods.

Shire Church

Instead of the Kingdom’s church being located inside the main city it is situated between the city and the two neighboring towns. This church offers a small place of worship for all of the acceptable deities in Divinism. It does, however, have a larger place of worship for Naikomis, Atrice, Neiphee, Marhi, and Apheus. There were services held here three times a week that most kith in the surrounding towns and city would try to visit at least once a week. It has recently become another makeshift shelter for those escaping Black Hollow and Biriholm.

Divinial Watch - Chapel

Maintained by a member of the church, right under Arkshire’s Divinal. This chapel is an old fortress that was renovated to be a place of worship for the small hamlet and city across the bridge. Does not have designated worship places for each deity and instead has a group offering place. Services are not held at this Chapel, though kith are free to come and worship whenever they have time.

Biriholm - City

Typical Races Found Here: Human, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dragonborn, Tieflings

Biriholm used to be a bustling and wealthy city known for its artisan goods, amazing performances, and expansive casino. It was the most visited city in Arkshire, attracting tourists from most parts of Northern Kaivem. Before the King fell ill Biriholm generated most of the tax and wealth for the Kingdom.

Since then, however, many kith have moved out of the city and to the smaller towns or the main city. This is because, taking advantage of the Kingdom’s weakness, the guard was overrun by a criminal organization that had been slowly and quietly gathering power. Called “The Blessed”, some suspect they played a hand in the King getting sick. Although many have moved out those that stay continue to enjoy performances and an increased gambling scene, amidst the rise in violence and crime.

Goatspeak - Hamlet

Typical Races Found Here: Humans, Tieflings

Mainly a small hamlet of sheep and goat farmers. Goat cheese and milk as well as thick high quality wool is Goatspeak‘s biggest trade. They typically take a shipment up to the capital city in return for money and some resources they aren’t able to get for themselves. Though the land is ruled by a lord, the residents tend to manage most of their issues themselves.

Their resource exchange with Arkshire and exporting has been significantly affected by the problems Arkshire has faced. The hamlet itself, however, has been largely left alone by refugees and the Blessed.

The Jungle of Grief

Main Religion: Divinism

DA jungle that is thought to have been sculpted and made by Atrice, the Champion of Grief. Although Atrice is thought to have once lived in Atri, it is believed she no longer takes up residence there.

Atri - Capital City

Typical Races Found Here: Human, Elves, Half-Elves, Triton, Sea-Elves, Water Genasi, Earth Genasi, Satyr (Small pop.), Centaurs (Small pop.)

A large city mostly built out of trees and stone. The city has two layers. The upper part is built into the trees and makes little use of stone. Those who are high class live in these areas and the church is half located in the upper areas. The bottom area is made of wood, but has a lot more use of stone involved. The middle and lower class lives on the jungle floor, though it is still considered to be a good place to live, as Atri is a fairly safe city. The church starts at the bottom, made of stone and is built up to fan and branch out into the trees above. This makes the church one of the easiest ways to get up and down. Though this building is bigger than the church in Paixyama, it is not considered the biggest church because the worship area is not nearly as big as the worship area in the Platinum Church. A lot of the space in the church is an area for transportation from the top to bottom. There is also a library and hospital located in the same building.

Atri is run by a council of 12 members that are elected by the citizens. These representatives not only represent the different regions of Atri but also the different classes. The council is overseen by the mayor, who is currently Galen Rehdan.

Atri is filled with many waterfalls and rivers. There are also quite a few more abandoned areas that are sealed off for the safety of the citizens.

Willow Falls - Town

Typical Races Found Here: Elves, Half-Elves, Triton, Sea-Elves, Water Genasi, Earth Genasi, Satyr (Small pop.), Centaurs (Small pop.)

A small town nestled in waterfalls near Atrice’s Lake. Does a lot of fishing and harvesting of the plants that grow in the jungle, as well as bamboo. Unlike Atri, the whole town is on the floor of the jungle, made out of trees and bamboo. They do have some stone they gather from the caves behind the waterfalls, but instead of using them for building they mainly use them for tool making.

Couatl’s Wing - Town

Typical Races Found Here: Human, Water Genasi, Earth Genasi, Elves, Half-Elves

A town located north of Atri and closer to Arkshire’s territories. Maintains trades and connections with Arkshire. This town used to be a thriving trade center, but has since become more of a warrior’s station as the monster’s population started rapidly growing. Trade with Arkshire has halted since this happened, though with Arkshire’s own issues, they have not been able to offer much help.

The Grove of Tears - Village

Typical Races Found Here: Human, Elves, Half-Elves, Satyr (Small pop.), Centaurs (Small pop.)

A small village near the coast of the North Sea and with a difficult, but traversable path to Northshore. Made up of mainly healers, witches, and druids. Does not have a thriving economy as they mostly focus on living off the land and only taking what they need.

Ruby Cape

Main Religion: Saevum Divinism

A small cape that is known to be mostly full of kith who settled after sailing over from Phassis. Independent from Phassis they developed their own small settlement with one capital city, a small town, and a farming village. They are known to accept citizens from Somnia who don’t wish to follow their rules and religion, or were otherwise turned away. This has made Ruby Cape a fairly diverse place with a high population of gnomes, tieflings, elves, dwarves, goblins, and humans. There are also families of other races so it is not uncommon to come across other races.

Skybound City - Capital City

Typical Races Found Here: Diverse, many races here but a larger population of Tiefling, Gnomes, and Dwarves.

The most diverse place in Ruby Cape and has a series of tall houses that connect on the upper floors, leaving alleys and winding streets below. The city, not being very large, made use of vertical space when they started to rapidly expand after accepting refugees from Somnia. Luckily they were offered an alliance and help from Atri, who in return for resources for building asked for crops and animal materials that could not be easily gotten in Atri.

Northshore - Town

Typical Races Found Here: Humans, Elves, Half-Elves, Water Genasi (Some small pop. of other races)

A small town that is mainly home to humans, elves, and water genasi, a lot of the families from the original settlement live here. The town offers a lot of artisan goods that the city, which is mainly filled with a lot of residency, lacks. Due to the close proximity, the town often does deliveries to the city for shops there to sell the artisan goods.

Estuary - Village

Typical Races Found Here: Tieflings, Humans, (Some small pop. of other races)

A small village consisting of mostly tieflings who had to take refugee after Iyoni started adapted more of Somnia’s laws. They are responsible for a lot of the farming, fishing, and ranching needed to keep Ruby Cape going as well as the trades between Ruby Cape and Atri. Due to the necessity of the work, a lot of kith in this village start working as soon as they are able, with small jobs, eventually being a full worker shortly before they reach adulthood.
