Raein is one of the two Twin Islands, separated by the Split Sea. Raein is mostly temperate with warmer swamplands in the southern parts. Most of Raein is owned by the Paixyama nation.
Paixyama’s territories take up the Northern part, and most, of Raein. The cities and towns part of Paixyama are fairly unique and diverse areas; this makes all their territories hotspots for tourists from other continents. The government in Paixyama is lax with its territories, allowing them to govern themselves as they please as well as deal with crime in their own cities as long as they follow Paixyama’s laws.
Magic laws were not strongly affected by the Life-Long Conflict, magic remaining unrestricted aside from cases that would break existing laws; theft, assault, murder, and vandalism are some examples. The guard has some exceptions to these rules in extreme cases. It is also allowed to use these spells against monsters, though it is usually advised to let the guard handle it.
Paixyama is a large, and typically crowded city, with a high tourist rate. Paixyama also holds the largest church in Raivem, the Platinum Church. The Platinum Church offers a place of worship for every Divine and champion, even those not openly worshipped. The church is also the centerplace for many festivals and offers multiple church services per day by its different church officials.
The fashion in Paixyama tends to be sleek, minimalistic, and practical. There usually isn't much in the way of bright colors, though some do use them to accent. As gadgets become more popular belts are added, but only as necessary.
Paixyama is run by a Minister, currently Xaemarra Orosser, who is voted in directly by the citizens. The Minister then appoints delegates under them to help deal with official business. Representatives are voted for in Paixyama’s territories and report back to the Minister, however they are welcome to run themselves as they wish as long as they do not break any of Paixyama’s laws. Although not part of the law, the Divinal, currently Arodon Orosser, has a lot of political sway.
The class distinction in Paixyama is very apparent, with the richest living near and behind the church. Typically, the further from the church the lower the class. Outside of cities walls is where the lowest class lives and also where farmers and ranchers live. Paixyama has a large number of farms, spanning across the river, that they use to provide for themselves as well as their other territory, Sangruil.
Paixyama has a growing influence in early magitech, testing the boundaries of magic and invention. This is helped by a mine in the mountains near Paixyama that is known for being rich in different, highly useful resources, notably a new ore that has been named Kaivanite. This also makes Paixyama a hub for craftsmen, trading, and merchants.
Sangruil is a bright and bustling city, though smaller than Paixyama. It is situated in Eirona’s Forest. This forest is full of bright and colorful trees, plants, and fungi that are used to make vibrant pigments of all different colors. These dyes are used to color nearly everything in the city, from its buildings, streets, and fashion. In addition to being very bright, the fashion is also often very detailed consisting of a lot of different textures, shapes, and accessories. This makes Sangruil a very eye-popping place that attracts tourists from other continents, though many outside the city consider it “too much”
Due to their trading, Sangruil is a fairly wealthy city and there isn’t much class disparity in Sangruil. This, however, is mainly due to the fact that those who are not wealthy enough cannot afford to move to or live in Sangruil, often living in Paixyama instead. Sangruil is run by three representatives, Valeria Valerius, Kaelin Kieran, and Amara Rosalind.
A temple on Sangruil’s side of the bridge, but used by both Sangruil, Paixyama, and residents of Honeymond who decide to take the trip. The temple is dedicated to the First, Antenum. The Divines, Lysedia, Vosleia, and Eirona. And the Champions, Avton, Maakos, and Eudocia. It is a fairly large temple, though not as big as the Platinum Church. It is sometimes used for festivals that are open to all of Paixyama, Sangruil, and Honeymond. It is often a good time for showing wares and bartering/buying things that one might not be able to do normally
Honeymond is a small town named after the thriving resource that helped Honeymond grow, Honey. There are several different honey products that are produced in Honeymond, such as “honey wine”, butters, bread, and self-care products. They also make many beeswax products.
Honeymond is also known for its amazing scenery and beautiful gardens. There are also nice beaches nearby the town. Honeymond has a fair population, and often has a good number of tourists, so there are plenty of lodgings and nice venues in Honeymond. The fashion is inspired by both Paixyama and Sangruil, as they frequently trade goods with both. They tend to lean more towards brighter colors, using fabrics and dyes they get from Sangruil. However, it is often less extravagant, and a happy middle between Paixyama’s minimalist fashion and Sangruil’s maximalist fashion.
Honeymond runs very differently from Paixyama. Though it has a directly voted upon council of representatives consisting of 8 kith, that is mostly for communication with Paixyama and neighboring towns. In town politics are handled by the citizens.
Despite Honeymond’s religion falling under Saevum Divinism, they take the Time of Rest as seriously as Probitist Divinists tend to. The community will pool together resources and work harder leading up to the Time of Rest to ensure little to no work needs to be done during the Festival of Rest
A small group of tribes located in Raein’s swamps. Though they prefer to keep to themselves, they are still open to trading and have a good relationship with the Paixyama Territories.
The leading tribe, often deals with politics and outside communication. This is where the council of leaders for the three tribes meets, ran by the Headman of all three tribes, Kragok. It is also where they hold festivals, mostly one's dedicated to nature. They are mainly known for helping to keep the community propersing, but are also where most of the grown food is produced. Due to its proximity not only to the swamp itself, but also Lake Marhi-Marhi and its neighboring hills, it makes this tribe a great location for growing all kinds of crops. They also house and take care of the animals that can be set up in pens.
The second largest tribe of the three, often mostly responsible for hunting. They supply a large majority of the raw materials needed for food, shelter, and clothing. Also provides kith for security around the tribes. Since they are peaceful with Paixyama, it is mainly wild animals and occasionally monsters that they protect the tribe from.
The smallest of the three and considered the crafting tribe. They often take the raw materials gathered by the Ukeamana Tribe to make food, clothing, tools, and help build shelters for all the tribes. A lot of the food made tends to be dried or heavily preserved.
